:: FURNITURE MANUFACTURING ::

           The furniture Factory, Bilaspur was initially established as a training-cum-production centre by the Department of Industries, Himachal Pradesh.  It was transferred to HPSIDC in the year 1971.  Ever since the transfer of this unit to this Corporation, it is being run on commercial lines.  It mainly caters to the demand from Govt. departments .  Two shops purchased at SDA Complex, Kasumpti to cater the requirements of the Govt. Departments located in and around State Capital are doing well.        

             This unit has established a name for itself in the manufacture of quality furniture items both for the offices as well as domestic use.  Most of the Govt. Deptts. have patronized this unit keeping in view the quality/ standards adopted.  In the year 1997, the activities were expanded by starting operations at Shimla also. Almost all the new Govt. office buildings in the SDA Complex at Shimla have been furnished by this unit
